It has officially arrived. Thank goodness.
The plants are visibly excited and therefore thriving.
Not one but two conferences we attended over the winter advocated for turning chickens out on compost piles. The response from our ladies has been phenomenal. They are in their glory.
Hands are now busy all day, everyday, putting transplants into the ground. Dormant beds from the winter all around us are now starting to look like this:
Starting to work in your own garden? We have numerous transplants/seedlings now available for sale (in four-packs) for spring crops – see list below. Toward the end of April we will have transplants of summer crops (tomato, peppers, eggplant, summer squash, cucumbers).
This week’s harvest includes:
Hearty Mix, Leeks (baby), Kale, Salad Mix, Turnips (Red or White)…and Hearth Baked Bread, Eggs, Pepper Jelly, and Transplants (Lettuces: Red Romaine, Oakleaf, Buttercrunch, Red Saladbowl. Kohlrabi: Green or Purple. Chard.

We will be at to the South of the James market this weekend. Market Share CSA members may place an order for pick up at the SOJ Market (in addition to the Brandermill/Good Health Herbs pick up option), or simply show up at our booth to spend your credit.
