Farm Share & Mkt Share Ordering…10.01.2014

Farm Share Members: Going on now is our Fall Season which runs each Wednesday through the end of November. If you are not yet signed up for the Fall Farm Share but would like to, sign up is still open on our website and we will pro-rate the cost if signing up late.

Farm Share CSA Members – this week’s share will likely consist of:
Salad Mix, Hearty Mix, Kale, Sweet Peppers, Tomatoes, Onions, Garlic, and Turnips (sweet Hakurei variety)

Recipe Suggestions: (always cataloged on our Recipe Page)
Portugese Kale Soup (an excellent way to enjoy our turnips, but you can also simply and deliciously roast them with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, and salt) Great also to add our Hearty Mix to this (or any) soup.
Tomato Salad with Kalamata Olives and Feta Cheese (great without the cucumber it calls for, and any if our sweet peppers work well in this)
Salad with Apples and Pecans (this is great with our Salad Mix, our Hearty Mix, or a combination of the two)
Apple, Pecan, and Blue Cheese Salad

Market Share CSA Members: Choose your selection through our Online Ordering of the following harvest for pick up on Wednesday, Oct 1 (on farm, at Good Health Herbs, or at Central Montessori School in Church Hill):

Our Farm Share Bag (consisting of a farmers’ choice medley of produce, in one easy to order option), Arugula, Asian Greens (Bok Choy, Tokyo Bekana), Chard, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Garlic, Green Beans, Hearty Mix, Kale, Okra, Peppers (padron, jalapeno), Radishes, Salad Mix, Squash, Tomatoes (including bulk special pricing), and Turnips,  …plus our Pepper Jelly, Salsa, and Naturally Leavened Bread.

** Remember our Farm Stand is open every day (as long as it’s not raining).

Enjoy ~
