Vegetables in the Cold…for 1.9.2016

It has been cold, and the vegetables are about to take a break for a little while.

Every year at this time we remember how difficult it is to not just grow vegetables in the winter, but also pick them (there is a limited number of hours in which the vegetables are warm enough to pick!), wash them (not warm enough for water to flow), and pack them (our barn is not heated).

Regardless, it is delicious and worth it. And the next couple of days are warmer. 🙂
