How excited was I the other day to see a car with the license plate LV TOPSL. Another lover of Top Soil! Yes! We love topsoil too!
(this was planting a few weeks ago – plants are now big!)
It is so important for farming good food and we should work to reduce the erosion of it. That is how we farm! I was about to start honking and waving at the driver, in solidarity for the love of soil.
Then I saw the sticker on their window. TI. They were referring to the beach. The vacation destination. Topsail Island.
Oh. Right. The beach is nice too.

**Learn to Make Kimchi (and/or Sauerkraut)**
Chop, season, and ferment some Kimchi with Janet, using our Cabbage, turnips, kohlrabi, and scallions. Each participant will go home with a quart jar of their own Kimchi or Sauerkraut.
Saturday, June 15th. 4:00-5:00 pm. $10 per person, here on the farm. Email us to register by the end of the day Thursday, June 13th (today).
What’s Kimchi?
Essentially: naturally fermented cabbage and other vegetables, with usually some spicy additions. Kind of like pickled cabbage, think of it as a relish of sorts. We have fallen in love with it and put it on top of and/or beside many other things (salads, toast, eggs, meat, etc.)
