Farm & Market Shares for 10/30

Farm Share CSA Members – this week’s share will likely consist of: 

Beets, Carrots, Turnips, Garlic, Peppers, Asian Spinach (called Yukina Savoy), “The New Kale” (called Komatsuna – Dan prefers it over kale, and it’s much healthier in our fields than actual kale), Salad Mix, and maybe Tomatoes (they are alive and well in our greenhouse, but green. Maybe they will ripen during these next warm days.)

Market Share CSA Members: Choose your selection through our Online Store of the following harvest:

Our Farm Share Bag (consisting of the items in the Farm Share this week, in one easy to order option), Arugula, Asian Greens (Pac/Bok Choi, Komatsuna, Tokyo Bekana, Yukina Savoy), Broccoli, Carrots, Chard, Chinese Cabbage, “Regular” Cabbage, Collards, Escarole, Endive, Frisee, Garlic, Hearty Mix, Kale, Lettuce (red and green), Peppers (Bell, Padrone, Hungarian Wax, Anaheim, & Jalapeno), Radishes (Watermelon or Asian), Salad Mix, Turnips (Hakurei) …plus Naturally Leavened, Hearth Baked Bread.

Our Recipe page is updated with suggestions for Komatsuna (the new kale!), Asian Spinach, Cabbage (chinese and regular), Pac Choi, Peppers, and more.
