Greenhouses are especially beautiful places to be on these cold blustery days.
How to Get Our Food Update:
We are keeping the Self-Serve Farm Stand alive here, with all supplies tucked in the walk-in cooler while it’s raining. So, please stop by this week to load up on salad, roots (carrots, turnips, sweet radishes), lettuce, and more. (These are the items we have in great quantity, so you can be assured they are in the self-serve area. Other items on the harvest list below we have in lesser quantity.) We currently bake our amazing Bread on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Cash, checks, or CSA Market Share credit accepted at our Farm Stand. Plastic accepted if one of us is around to swipe your card. Driving directions on our website.
We will sadly NOT be at the South of the James Winter Market this Saturday, Dec 14th due to the forecast for very cold and rain. We are often a family affair at market and this doesn’t work for our little kids. We likely won’t be there again until March. We are taking orders for weekend delivery – details below.
This week’s harvest:
Farm Share Bag, Beets, Carrots, Chard, Collards, Hearty Mix, Lettuce, Radish (rose or sweet giant), Salad Mix, Turnips (Hakurei) …plus Pepper Jelly and Naturally Leavened, Hearth Baked Bread.
Market Share CSA Members: Choose your selection through our Online Store to order for pick up on Saturday (at our farm or Good Health Herbs) or on Sunday (at Cary Elementary School in Richmond, which is where we are on Sunday mornings for the Unitarian Universalist service).
Everyone else: Please stop by our Farm Stand at our farm and make a purchase. And – you can sign up for our 2014 Market Share and start placing orders in the new year.
