Janet typing here. We went on our first date 23 years ago. (Going to a friends wedding, I figured I should wear a dress. At that time in my life I owned ZERO dresses. So I sewed a sage green linen dress to wear to that wedding, which interestingly doubled as our first date.) Anyway, I recently turned 46, and I just realized that I’ve hit the point where I’ve spent half of my life with this wonderful man. We’ve chosen marriage and parenting and farming. All three require sizable effort, persistence, and commitment. And there’s no one else with whom I’d rather do this hard work. There’s no one else with whom I’d rather share the resulting joy. There’s no one else with whom I’d rather strive for the needed rest when we’ve been going straight out for too long. Thank you, Dan, for these 23 years. What will the next 23 hold?? 💚🥗
