Recipes to get your creative juices flowing:
Tokyo Bekana: This is a unsung hero here. A member of the mustard family, it is super nutritious and mild flavored. And this website has a great list of recipes for using it (with Creamy Roasted Garlic Dressing? With Rice Noodles and Radishes? These are delicious. And one day our recipe page will be that extensive. Just wait.) We have also been chopping it, mixing it with a touch of oil, vinegar, and salt, and putting it in the dehydrator (or oven at low temp) for a few hours. That is super crispy and yummy. The kids are going wild for it – seriously (even the baby). Substitute any of our bunched greens, or bagged Hearty Mix, for these recipes.
Email us your order at BroadforkFarm@yahoo.com by noon on Wednesday and we’ll drop it off. Please leave payment (cash or check) in the envelope provided at the store.
Enjoy ~

Got it, Bob. Thanks!
Would it be possible to reserve the mushrooms for next weeks delivery? If so, please let me know via e-mail.
Thanks,
Bob
Bob – That is fine, but the mushroom flush (as it is called) is very erratic. We don’t know that they will flush (fruit) next week. It is rain dependent, and we don’t irrigate them. They are very different than annual vegetables! The mushrooms sure are delicious and we hope to move them into a more controlled environment in the future to allow for more consistent production. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your order!
