Pictures of winter activity around here start looking rather brown in the fields as opposed to the vibrant green of earlier in season.
(This is where garlic is now starting to grow! Thanks to the hands and hearts that helped make this happen.)

Our Farm Share Bag (consisting of the items in the Farm Share this week, in one easy to order option), Arugula, Asian Greens (Hon Tsai Tai), Carrots, Chard, Chinese Cabbage, “Regular” Cabbage, Cilantro, Collards, Endive, Hearty Mix, Kale, Kohlrabi, Lettuce, Peppers (Bell & Jalapeno), Raab, Radish (rose or sweet giant), Salad Mix, Scallions, Spinach, Shiitake mushrooms (dried), Tomatoes (green!), Turnips (Hakurei)…plus Pepper Jelly, and Naturally Leavened, Hearth Baked Bread.
(Hint: A combination of our pepper jelly and dried shiitakes is a nice start to an edible holiday gift basket for a loved one!)
Special Plus: You may pre-order our bread for pick up at the farm on Thanksgiving morning for you to enjoy with your holiday meal.

We will be at to the South of the James market this weekend and every weekend this season until the end: December 7th. Market Share CSA members may place an order for pick up at the farm, SOJ market, Good Health Herbs in Market Square, or simply show up at our booth to spend your credit. (Sadly, we can’t make it to the Holiday Market at Brandermill this weekend due to staffing shortage. We are disappointed! But we will drop off orders at the herb shop like usual.)
