We have taken today off from most everything related to growing vegetables (save some watering of our yumminess growing in the high tunnels)…

and enjoyed an amazing day with family and abundant food, reflecting on what a wonderful season we have had.

Tomorrow we return to picking veggies for your post-Thanksgiving detox (in case you need one). 

We hope you will take advantage of all that “Small Business Saturday” has to offer. We will, along with our many talented peers, be at the South of the James market and delivering orders as usual.

This week’s harvest:

Our Farm Share Bag (consisting of the items in the Farm Share this week, in one easy to order option), Carrots, Chard, Collards, Hearty Mix, Kale, Leeks, Lettuce, Radish (rose or sweet giant), Salad Mix, Shiitake Mushrooms (dried), Tomatoes (green), Turnips (Hakurei) …plus Pepper Jelly and Naturally Leavened, Hearth Baked Bread.

(Hint: A combination of our pepper jelly and dried shiitakes is a nice start to an edible holiday gift basket for a loved one!)
